Goodbye, little hen.

Thank you, Dovie, for showing us how truly wonderful a chicken can be. We will greatly miss our little hen.

  1. Obviously Dovie is no longer with us and for that I am sorry. She looks like a sweet hen, and only 3 years 8 1/2 months old. What happened to her, you don’t say? Going by the picture, her comb does not look so good?

    • Her comb color was normally a blackish red; she never had the bright red comb that many hens have. I am working on the next post right now about her illness. :0)
